Modern ground floor house in Finiki - Methoni Architectural study - Construction This project is a proposal for the Design and Construction of a luxury singl-storey house in Finiki, in the suburbs of Finikounda, Messinia. The building with 192.28 m2 of floor area is constructed on a sloping plot of 5596.24 m2. Its south orientation offers ideal conditions of energy profile and a great view to the olive groves and beach of Finikounda and Methoni. The house is surrounded by green areas. A covered terrace and a summer kitchen - dining room, as well as an infinity swimming pool, are located in parallel with the building and the sea view. The architectural design and construction of the high-quality building is done using modern materials such as glass and metal blinds. Never the less, a combination of stone elements sparsely located in the building, harmonize the construction with the natural environment. A fundamental part of the architectural aesthetics of the building is the external stone wall of the summer kitchen which ensures a smooth transition from the construction area to Nature. An amazing view is captured through the two big openings of the stone wall. The separation of the building into zones, in addition to aesthetic harmony, ensure privacy and easy accessibility to all areas inside and out of the house.
